Business End

The business end of the Europa League is fast approaching and Manchester United will be confident of brushing aside FC Copenhagen on their way to the semi-finals of the competition. Just eight teams remain in Europe’s second-tier tournament and the Red Devils are favourites to lift the trophy at general odds of 15/8, however much work remains to be done and manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer will certainly not be resting on any laurels.

No pushover

Solskjaer will clearly be happy that his side have avoided the likes of Basel, Shakhtar, Leverkusen, Wolverhampton Wanderers and Sevilla at this stage of the competition, although Copenhagen will be no pushover. The Danes have proven their worth with just two defeats in their last ten European outings, their most recent clash finishing in a 3-0 win over Istanbul Basaksehir, and they have proven very solid at the back with no more than a single goal being conceded in Europe this term.

Strong Starting Eleven

As for United, they have been enjoying some excellent form since their return from the break and they have confirmed their place in next season’s Champions League thanks to their top-three Premier League finish. They enjoy the luxury of having their strongest starting eleven available for this clash and their formidable firepower can cause plenty of damage tonight.

Tight at the Back

Nevertheless Copenhagen have been adept at keeping things tight at the back in this competition and as such we believe that this clash will be closer than many pundits expect. United should manage to break their opponents down but it certainly won’t be one-way traffic with the Danes likely to get themselves onto the scoresheet.
